June 7, 2019 | Chris Sargent As we all move into summer (finally), we wanted to let folks know that there are several upcoming Village to Village Project events on the horizon. The first is coming up quickly, on Saturday June 15th from 10am-1pm at the Railroad Station. This will be an opportunity for community members to review and provide feedback on the wayfinding plan for Danville. We will be installing the temporary wayfinding signs along the trail and at key locations in the Village that morning and will be encouraging people to go out and test our plan and then document their experience. Each sign will have a QR code which will digitally link folks back to the project webpage where they can provide feedback. We’re hoping to have the signs up for a couple of weeks and will keep wayfinding maps explaining the project at the Train Station & Town Hall during that time. The RR Station sketches will also be displayed that morning and a chalkboard/graffiti wall will be up outside the station to capture more ideas about potential uses for the building. We hope you’ll join us! Following our June event, we will be holding an open-house at Red Barn Brewing on July 27th. The July open-house will be the first opportunity for folks to see what transportation improvements are being considered as part of the Village to Village Project. Our consultants will be on hand to walk us through what we’ve learned to date and where we’re headed. This will be followed by a booth presentation at the Danville Fair in August. We appreciate your continued interest and support for the Village to Village project. We hope you’ll join us at our events to give us your thoughts!
